P.D., 48, an accountant in Murrieta, CA

A significant impact that quarantine has had on me is the way in which I view my work. I am an accountant with many years of experience, and I have worked in the office for many years as well. After having to work from home, I have found that I prefer to work from home rather than going to the office each day. I still get the same amount of work done from home, but with more comfort and convenience as I can work on my own terms and hours. This has changed the way I think of work in the future, as I find starting my own online services to be much more appealing than returning to the office. With such a large commute everyday in order to get to work, it is less expensive, more efficient, and more enjoyable to work from home instead. I think quarantine has opened a different way of thinking, and a new approach to my work for me.
