E.K., 73, retired, in Westminster, CA

A day in the life amid COVID-19 has changed many aspects of lives globally. Most prominently is being confined with family 24/7. No more rushing to leave home to fulfill daily tasks and no more outside greetings. Within this new atmosphere, our gratitude, as a Buddhist, for each other and others has grown even stronger through the pandemic. We begin our day with deep appreciation to the many unselfish and essential people that place their lives in front of the mysterious virus that lurks outside. Until we lay our heads, we put our palms together for their safety and the safety of their families. Namo Amida Butsu
